Academician Yuri Vasilievich Gulyaev
Outstanding physicist, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
Yuri Vasilievich Gulyaev is a world-renowned scientist who has made fundamental contributions to radiophysics, electronics, and nanotechnology. Currently, he is the Scientific Director of IRE RAS and Director of INME RAS.
Key Scientific Achievements
- Bleustein-Gulyaev Waves: Discovered a new fundamental type of surface acoustic waves (SAW) in piezoelectrics.
- Acoustoelectronics: First (together with V. I. Pustovoit) proposed using SAW for signal processing, which formed the basis of modern communication systems.
- Acoustomagnetoelectric Effect: Officially registered scientific discovery (No. 133, 1964).
- Nanotechnology: Predicted and experimentally confirmed strong field emission of electrons from carbon nanotubes.

Alexander Alexandrovich Sobko is a physicist, expert in statistical thermodynamics and quantum mechanics, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
Professional Path
- Education: Graduate of MEPhI (1971) with a degree in Theoretical Physics.
- Scientific Career: From 1971 to 1994, he worked at the Institute of High Pressure Physics of the USSR Academy of Sciences, rising to the position of Deputy Director. Under his leadership, the production of diamond tools was launched.
- Academy of Engineering Sciences: Since 1994, at the invitation of Nobel Laureate A.N. Prokhorov, he has been working in the management of the AES, currently as Executive Director.
Scientific Contribution
- Author of more than 50 scientific articles published in leading journals (including 'Doklady of the Academy of Sciences').
- Developed a fundamentally new method for determining the heat of first-order phase transitions.
- Derived the generalized van der Waals-Berthelot equation for the quantitative description of real gases.
MIP-Nano: Advanced Medical Technologies
The company specializes in the development and production of high-tech medical equipment. Academician of the RAS Y.V. Gulyaev provides scientific guidance for the projects.
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): Development and launch of the first domestic MRI on a superconducting 1.5 Tesla magnet (2012). Release of the PRESTIGE-15C line — a lightweight version of the 1.5T MRI with 60 and 70 cm apertures. Production of permanent magnet MRI 0.3T (PRESTIGE-03).
- Clean Rooms: Design and creation of medical cleanroom modules (separated into an independent division — mipmodule.ru).
Guarantees and Quality
In 2022, the company successfully underwent reorganization into MIP-Nano, updating its production potential while preserving all accumulated design and technological experience. Products are protected by Russian Federation patents. All necessary registration certificates and licenses are available.
In July 2022, a decision was made to reorganize MIP-Nano into a new company with the transfer of all developments and documentation. Today, the company continues to update its scientific and production potential, producing modern PRESTIGE-15C systems and medical modules.
